Good day

I'm really hoping someone could advise me urgently regarding the BSc general degree at UNISA. In the curriculum it states that, when choosing your majors, "a particular module cannot be counted as a credit for more than one major subject" I'm a bit confused here?? Let's say that I'd like to complete two majors - biomedicine and physiology. Both require CHE1501 module as either a pre-requisite or co-requisite. Does this mean that I can't choose both majors as CHE1501 will only be credited to one major (biomedicine or physiology)?? It's totally baffling and would really appreciate some clarity on this

Many thanks

Most likely yes.

Probably a way of them ensuring you actually have enough disparate course credits under your belt and ppl don't abuse having similar majors with same co/requisites..and cost of course to yourself, more courses taken ...their profit,

My personal exp at UNISA second time round has been nothing short of horrendous. I would stay well clear (my first was in 1989/90 - different story completely and long vanished as being a decent tertiary education establishment).

Regardless of how many Majors you complete, you will get one degree, that is a BSc. Pre-req's are only required for ensuring you have knowledge, while credits are the number of units you need for the degree. Recommend you check this with the university.

It will count towards all the pre-requisites and co-requisites. It won't count as a subject in each. You will still need to take an extra subject that will get your amount of credits to the minimum allocated amounts. 12 NQF 5, 8 NQF 6, 10 NQF 7 for your degree.
