Universal Root Methods

Do these universal root methods like Super One Click Root actually work in rooting a device? I have a generic Proline Smart AK888-28 10.1" (Stock Android 4.1) tablet that I want to root and obviously can't find anything online. I came across these methods while searching. Can it really root ANY device? is it safe?... If you know of any methods for the device I mentioned, pleade suggest them

Not all devices.
Samsung use a program called odin to insert the "root" file.

You need to find out who makes proline.

Yea the Proline is definitely just a rebranded version of another (probably Chinese) tablet - perhaps finding that info, as tough as it may be, may help.

On the note of universal root methods.. I've only ever used Framaroot on Samsung devices.. worked like a beaut.

Google Tasselhof-rootscript

You will have to download moborobo at www.moborobo.com have that running in the background, when using the tasselhof script, you will need to take the ABD system files from moborobo and replace the ones in the tasselhof folder so the files match up with the tasselhof and moborobo, will also need to update the SU and busybox files, will have to rename them exactly as they are in that folder.

Run the tasselhof rootscript and off your go

Warning moborobo is a pit on the spammy side of things but you just need it for a short while, I actually found it quite useful you can install games and software directly from the computer, if it wasn't for the spammy side of things I would still be using it.
