“There will be a central reception area on all campuses where there will be check-in points, printing of access cards, a security office, an information kiosk, a travel agent and medical standby unit,” said Senior Manager in UJ's Commercial Unit, Flip van Zyl at Thursday’s campus accommodation tour.
University residences, which will be vacated so that visitors can use the facilities, offer linen, TV and DSTV (satellite television), kitchen facilities, community breakfast halls, laundry facilities, cleaning services, telephone and internet services.
Roving advisors with coloured vests will be on hand to help tourists out and each campus will have a senior hotel general manager on site.
