We all know this 1 by now but I was 1 of the lucky 1's to keep my contract with no problems and will till it expires next year march the thing that gets me is that they have now changed it to up to a 1000 sms's contract and if I renew my contract next year wont be on the unlimited sms's contract anymore as we all know now is not "unlimited" the point is I stayed within my limits and didnt abuse the service and yet have to now pay for other ppl's inconsiderate behaviour in abusing this service which is not fair. There is nothing I can do to keep this so is stated in their terms and conditions which is very vague about this issue.

If you haven't abused it, why would you need more than 1000 sms's a month? That is a LOT of sms's for a normal person.

My gf stays in JHB and I am in Durban I know what you saying but its just the fact of losing that unlimited sms contract if u know what I mean

I get what you are saying and are in the same boat with unlimited sms's at the moment. It is more the fact that you know you can go over 1000 at the moment if needed. Thanks to our capped internet, we hate to be capped again on something which is uncapped :D

Thats how it goes doesnt it lol I took out the contract almost 2 years ago because of the ulimited sms's but new eventually that it will be changed

dude...it's 1000 sms's a month. That's like 30 a day. Do you really need more than that?

Personally i cant wait for virgin to make sms's normal costs. Having so many makes you abuse the system and then just act super retarded with them. My gf has virgin and i have been tempted to take my own life to stop hearing my cellphone's beeping. With the ****ty service rexeption when she doesn't have signal. She'll just keep sending the sms's over and over till one goes through, then they all go through. >:(

And im not bitchin about my girlf, im saying people should value those sms's as if they were paying for them. Then u guys wouldn be in all this mess.

The main reason that Virgin Mobile started capping the unlimited sms was due to the Advertising/Promotions Company abusing the unlimited sms for sending bulk adverts

eh yes long distance relationship ='s lots of sms'ses. I must send about 50 a day

Dude, maybe you need to get some help with this little obsession. You're averaging THREE SMS PER HOUR for every hour of the day except when you're asleep - to the SAME PERSON

Like I said I do yes in a long distance relationship

Dude, not only are you on Virgin but your lifestyle also indicates that your a practising VIRGIN :p

But seriously on WTF with 50 SMS a day !!! Its one thing when your starting to go out to spam your love but it really is suppose to trickle down a bit. But if your sending 1500 SMSs a month then thats about R330 on a Vodacom Telemetric contract - cheapest SMS contract.

What about MXiT!!! Seriously, IM is more practical.

Ok seriously dont u think we have tried the mxit route? Her phone that she has now doesnt have gprs (Hers got wet and isnt working) Will move to mxit as soon as she gets a new phone but have to send sms'es for now

Actually, it's always easy to say something rude. Especially if you're on a Virgin contract.
