Unlocking old 3G modem

I've got a ZTE MF65M from an expired Cell C data contract. Is it possible to unlock it so I can use a Telkom SIM in it? I'd like the data connection to start automatically when i turn it on.

Are cell c and MTN and Telkom dongles unlocked? its only vodacom thats locks there devieces

I can get a data connection with a Telkom SIM but I have to log into the modem's configuration page and click connect, whereas the modem connects automatically with a cell c sim
