I use Ireland for primary and something else European as secondary.

Don't forget you can two different countries at the same time by making the device needing us Netflix use a non dynamo server.

I use joburg as primary and cape town as secondary without any issues.

thx, close to what i use atm

london and Ireland

but the ping to ct is around 18 and to london/Ireland its around 160-180,does that higer ping play a big roll in the streaming speed
or does it works better cuz as everone in sa use the local ones and the overseas one have less traffic ,cuz Netflix etc are legal there

On NowTV it makes no difference to which dns servers I uses, the streaming still sucks. Remember that once the original lookup is performed and the ip address is returned, the streaming app will stream directly from the source servers.

NowTV seem to use a ping from the app to their server in the UK, and because it's about 190ms, the "algorithm" for automatic bit rate sends me back VGA quality.

The ZA servers had a few issues a while back so just never changed.

Which server you use shouldn't affect streaming speed at all.

Joburg Primary, Capetown Secondary

thats how i have it setup atm

CT then Ireland

i am kinda new to this unotelly setup etc
so just want the best setup(fastest)

also does useing it slow browsing down?
it kinda feels bit slower than webafrica's dns when i just browse the net,but then again it can just be my mind playing games on me,cuz i pay more attention to it

When checking the UnoTelly server map it will suggest the 2 servers closest to you. I would recommend you use those 2.

For me it would be:

1. Johannesburg
2. Cape Town

it shouldn't cause any issue as Non Unotelly stuff gets routed via Google DNS

onelast thing i used to set it up in my router
but whats best
set the dns on my pc,or just set it in the router

It depends if you want other devices connected to the router to also use that DNS or not. If you only need it on your PC then it's fine to just change it on the PC.

ya just my pc,thought it will work like that
my way of thinking was,the isp's dns do the lookup then the unotelly so its like a overlap of dns's like dubble look up to the same site making this a bit slower,

but anyways its alot easyer and faster to just change it on the pc that on the router :)

just want to make sure i can get rid of a bottleneck if i have one
