Unreachable from Telkom line

Hi

I was wondering if anybody is having the same issue as me? When somebody tries to phone me from a Telkom number they get a "the subscriber is not available" error. I stay in Durban and have confirmed the problem on 2 Durban Telkom lines. Seems to work fine if somebody on MTN phones me. Weird? I am on a Anytime 200 package.

Had similar problem before, colleague went to some remote place in Northwest and if we call from the company phone (VoIP by the way, not Telkom) to his cell, it did not go through but when called using a cellphone it went through, I am guessing it's some kind of interconnect problem?

Sounds like it. Sigh. My wife says she is having similar issues with her MTN phone. It must just be a localised issue cause if it was a national problem everyone would be up in arms. I have not had an issue with MTN for years but the last few weeks have been "interesting".
