Hi

I use my Cell C modem in Pinetown and Sunningdale. The last 3 days performance has been erratic. I get disconnected every 20 minutes or so. Sometimes the connection dies and I can't browse or do anything and I have to reconnect to do anything. My wife is also having issues with a Vodafone modem she is using to access the Cell C network. I was wondering if anybody else is having issues. It seemed to be fine before.

I am using 3 different machines so I doubt it is an issue with my PCs.

In MDMA it looks like my signal is good if I look at the signal bar. They must be tweaking stuff on the network. I expect there will be issues for quite a bit longer while they tweak and roll out to all areas. Just wanted to check if anyone else was having issues.

Hi all. Is it possible to get physical add/contact nos so that Cell C can address these performance problems individually.

I got my Cell C Data Sim last week Thursday from the Game City branch; I needed a new conn as my old one is hogged by my housemates and I wanted to game.

Anyway, I browsed and played black ops almost lag free on Thursday; the internet connection was really great. But come friday evening I started experiencing problems; dropped connections every 20 minutes or so and wild lag in my games; so browsing and gaming has become almost pointless.

I just wanted to know if the service in Durban really is just acting up at the moment; or if I should always expect this performance; I live in Glenwood and my reception seems pretty good; if thursday last week was anything to go by. Otherwise, I'm returning this card by thursday; find some other way to game.

Just did a speed test:

I get a Download of 319,0 KB/s upload speed of 4,2KB/s and a ping of 126ms with a 24 GB package in my HTC Desire

Server shows on screen as #Durban Hosted by vodacom.

Seems to be fine now both in Sunningdale and Pinetown. They must just be finding their feet with the new network.
