Unshaped + ucapped nor not

Hi guys,

I want to do an ISP hop. Looking at Unshaped + ucapped, but not sure about the ISP and package. I am currently with Afrihost and doing about 8-12GB a month for everything.

I want good latency and support. What and who can you recommend?

You should rather look at 20gig unshaped instead of uncapped+unshaped

For <50 gigs I'd go with Web Africa Titan. The uncapped ones only make sense when you want to move serious gigs & are willing to accept a (sometimes) sketchy connection doing so.

Why would you want uncapped for 8-12gb, that is pretty small these days in good ol SA.

As havoc says webafrica titan should serve you well.

With your usage the unshaped light packages from IS will be perfect for you.

There are many to choose from, that offer rates that better Afrihost / MWEB / IS' offerings of 10 MB/s. - some active on this forum.

Stay away from those that are actively advertising, contact the ISP closest to your physical location - in this link: http://stats.jinx.net.za/ or for those in Cape Town: http://stats.jinx.net.za/cinx/index.php

Should they inform that they do not offer such a service, ask them for the contact details of their resellers.
