Are there any Iburst service providers that provide 1gb or 3gb accounts that are unshaped ?

Nope. not that I know of, I dont think the Iburst service can actualy be changed by resellers. So what Iburst says on their site goes I assume.

You can always just use the old Openweb or nukecap proxies to get past whatever problem youre facing, assuming its just one or two apps that you need unshaped.

Most WISP are unshaped except for P2P and VOIP, but not Iburst. They act more like Telkom DSL on their shaping, but they shape everything to gaurenteed 64kb, at least you know what youre gonna get.

does anyone know if they cut your internet access completely if you hit 10gigs?

10 gigs? Are you talking about Iburst? Because they dont. I have seen people go over 10gigs regulary and not get cut off. You might end up with those "cap of death" situations though...

cause i remember reading somewhere that if you downloaded more than 10gigs on iburst with a 1gig package they consider it as "abusing" the network and cut you off

the cap of death does occur, when goin over 15 gigs for a few months in a row, but this is quite easy to sort out: just phone Shaun Green and tell him the whole story, and you will get a free gig, after which your connectivity magically resumes normal operation.
