Hi Guys,
I've been experiencing a temperamental fiber connection for more than a year now.
My VUMA/VOX fiber has been misbehaving since day one. I came from a dodgy 2 Mb ADSL so it was a serious enough upgrade for me to keep quiet for a while (20/2 Mbps). In the last year, I logged at least 5 calls with VOX when things got really bad, but the issues persist.
The symptoms I experience on my internet connection, is connections that are dropping.
This usually lasts for about 30 seconds and things are back to normal.
Sometimes the internet is 100% down as phones and computers tells me that “internet is not available on this connection” and other times only some websites are affected. This happens on both Ethernet and WIFI connected devices.
If I do extended ping to the google DNS (8.8.8.8) there is no or very little packet loss, but some website would not open.
I can even do speed tests while some websites remain completely unresponsive.
I’ve tried using another WIFI router without success.
How would I determine if this is a VUMA or a VOX issue? How do I get this fixed?
Any ideas?
