Tried about 2-3 diff win xp 32 bit installs same issues - ubuntu/kubuntu/pclinux - NADDA. All of the BSODS refer to audio issues from what I can tell from google and realtek drivers bleh I hate them.
So hopefully 64 bit xp is stable and I was just missing some fix on my 32 bit sp2 install.
