Unthrottled fibre

Hi everyone.

Openserve has after a struggle for 2 years, started installing fibre in our estate. I'm really disappointed that it had to be openserve but I don't have a say about that. It unfortunately is what it is. What pisses me off is that pretty much every isp has bandwidth throttling via the openserve network. However I didn't do much research.

Could anyone perhaps point any isp out exept cool ideas that is unthrottled on openserve. The price doesn't matter. Cool ideas is already on my list.

Highly doubt there is. I went with CISP as well on Openserve, very happy!

There are no options to consider beyond Cool Ideas.

Cool ideas for me aswell, been with Webafirca and Afrihost both throttled after 100gb. Been doing 400gb+ on CI for the past 2 months and I have not seen any shaping or throttling so far

TBH, on openserve I am not sure if there are any other providers offering the same as Cool Ideas

Yep, maybe more shaping than throttling but definitely had a few cases of throttling.

Fair enough, Cool ideas has no FUP.

Have a look at the transit providers that both ISP's use.

Uses HE, IS, eNetworks, Seacom, Liquid, WIOCC

Home Connect (AS37315)
Uses AfricaINX and WIOCC

Damn. Yeah. I'll constantly be doing downloads and uploads. So I'm gonna need quite alot of bandwidth to work with.

CI then for me. Apparently our fibre will be installed in next month.
