Who has budget friendly unusual ideas for a small, 20 p max wedding in Gauteng?
Something like hot air ballooning without the 2G pp price!
Great little venues without the 800 pp cost ?
To be in May next year so nearly Winter.

Married in court... And then lion park for the reception.

Chairs under a gazebo written in stone she tells me..............Lion Park ?, the Thatch or the new one on R512?

If it was up to me, I’d take a fraction of the money I would have spent, stop by home affairs on the way to the airport for the marriage certificate, and have the best month long holiday I can find on some tropical island far far away from here.

My whole wedding + 60 guests was 20K max. That included the venue, photographer & food.

Honeymoon was in the mountains as a gift from friends and the rest of travelling costs were covered by cash gifts.
Details please ?

How long ago was this?

Not discussed yet, but tight.
Just make the best with what you have. Ask for cash gifts if they want to give and can. Don't bother with a gift registry or something.

But yeah. See if you can get some sort of budget. My mom made my wife's dress so that saved alos a lot of money.

When our reception was over all 60 guests helped us to pack up and they used their vehicles to transport stuff back (tables and chairs). Everything was probably cleared out in less than 30 minutes.

It really helps if you in a community or church that cares to help.

Might be better to fly to Vegas or Gretna Green and combine marriage with honeymoon......?

I had my wedding at the greensleeves medieval kingdom in krugersdorp. It was a winter wedding last year.

I had 33 guests so we paid per head for a 5 course medieval dinner and show and because we didn't book out the entire venue we didn't have a venue fee and we got to be King and Queen for the night. They even included a sword to cut the cake :D The entire venue follows the medieval theme so you dont need any decor, all we bought was a box of petals. The guests all loved the unique entertainment and we got to have the unusual wedding we wanted. PM me if you would like to know more :)
