This is the area where i'm a little confused

1. I have a Telkom 5102G 4port wireless router. How do i know whether it's on 108MBps or 54MBps?
2. If the connection says speed : 54Mbps, does this refer to the PC wireless card or the router itself or both?
3. What is the best & worst download & upload speed can a 54Mbps produce/reach in terms of bps? i did a torrent test and the results were 30kbps up & 109kbps down.. Is that bad or good

Thanx

Did u get some answers to your questions already?

Also, I think this thread is in the wrong section... *-)

I don't have 1st hand experience with routers but will try to answer what I can.
1. Read the manual?
2. Where does it say this? Otherwise: Read the manual?
3. The 54mbps refers to the wifi capabilities of the router and the speed of the LAN. This has nothing to do with your up/download speeds. That will depend on your connection to the exchange at Telkom, as well as what DSL service u are subscribed to and possibly also what ISP you are using.

Hope this helps...
