Eskom reduces load-shedding slightly

Eskom has announced slightly reduced load-shedding will be implemented from noon on Monday, 18 September 2023, due to an improvement in generation capacity and performance.

Instead of stage 2 load-shedding, the utility will decrease the rotational power cuts to stage 1 from 12:00 until 16:00.

Eskom suspends load-shedding for five hours

Eskom has announced that it will suspend load-shedding from midnight until 05:00 on Tuesday thanks to a significant reduction in breakdowns.

While power cuts will return in the morning, Eskom plans to reduce them by a stage.
