update.exe has encountered a problem

Hi guys

This update.exe error appears all the time. That dont send/ send stuff.

Went to google.com and it gives me a solution. Delete the file, if I do a search for the file Windows finds 160 update.exe files.

What now??

Anyone had this error before?

update.exe is a rather common name used by Microsoft for their XP hotfixes released through their Windows Update Service.

You will find hordes of them in this directory c:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$\

Check your eventlog.

That site is referring to a specific problem that occurs when running the "Cabal" software. Unless you have a program called "Cabal", that's the wrong site for you to be getting advice from.

A very quick google reveals this site, which may be of use.
