Update iPad 3 3G with file already downloaded

I got my iPad 3 3G yesterday, I want to update so downloaded the update aferhours
iPad3,2_6.1.2_10B146_Restore.ipsw
Git it from direct link GSM version
When I got to work try and update from 5.1.1, it starts the download again?

1.1Gb file

I have place the file under C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPad Software Updates
 
On a mac you hold down the alt/option key and click on restore then select the update from wherever you saved it. I'm sure it's something similar on the pc.
 
It is GSM

The Wi-Fi/4G LTE AT&T/GPS iPad 3 configurations are assigned model number A1430

Could be corrupted download if you are 100% sure you got the correct file.
 
Download the firmware on the tablet and just flash it with Rom manager. One tap "flash firmware", no pc needed....... oh no wait that's android...

He doesn't want to download the firmware from the tablet, if he did he could.

I thought ignorance was the gold standard of trolling to be honest. That's what I see trolls doing in my threads all the time :( I'm not very good at this am I? :erm:
 
See my sim card from dongle doesn't fit as well.

Anyone else cut down their sim to fit the newer ipad/iphones?

I heard you need something from police to swop sims?

Done it lots of times with zero problems. You just download a pdf template that you print out then trace lines on the sim. Then cut with scissors and then finally use a nail file to round the corners. Doesn't take more than 5 min.

You can get a microsim swap done at a vodacom shop for about R60 or something like that. Don't need anything from the police unless your phone was stolen.
 
^ use the template, take your time first time round. I did kill one SIM from being a tad hasty :p
