I've got an update
Last week Tuesday, a the HR lady from a certain company connected with me on LinkedIN and told me that her company is looking for new junior developers, and she'd like to see my CV. So I send it to her and she wanted to phone me and chat about the position available as well as set an interview up etc. So I tell her to phone me before work (the email I said that in was sent at 7:15) and if she wants me to go for an interview, I'm free on the Thursday afternoon. She phoned me at 7:30 and we chatted and I got a good feeling about this, I was calm, content and asked the right questions.
The interview came and I walked in dressed all fancy, but the interviewers were all wearing jeans, nerdy shirts and the one lady was wearing a top hat with steampunk goggles attached. I felt like I was home. They asked technical questions and me if I play games and the like, to which I said "yes, I play DotA". The one guy was happy about that But the question that really got me, was the final question - "Name 5 characters from Star Trek/Star Wars/Lord of the Rings". I replied in super quick time and they were chuffed, the fastest answer they had.
I later got the technical skills test that I was to complete, and I must've done fairly well. They want me to go in one last time for a polygraph (Sensitive info at stake, need honest, trustworthy people) and if I pass that, I'll get a job offer!!
This job is fantastic, I'll get around 2.5x my current salary, free lunch everyday, a laptop and a decent workstation to code on. I'm quite optimistic!
