update service on k800i

Has anyone with a SE K800i managed to used the phones built in update service with success ? tried says its gonna download a 3607kb file and then it does nothing and gives a comm error ...

If the update file is just 3067kb cant i download it from a website somewhere without using SEUS ... SEUS software messed my last k800i up and i am a bit warry to use it again ...

I successfully updated a K800i but it was not a Vodafone/Vodacom branded phone. I donot think the menu option exists on a Vodafone K800i. There was'nt much difference after.

i updated my k800i vodafone successfully using the update service ... just followed the instructions to the T.

Make sure that you are connected to the internet when you are doing so (I connect to the net at home using my cell so had to do the update at work)

noticed very slight improvements.

I have a Voda branded K800i. Used the update service fine. It was just extremely slow. It took about a hour and a half.

hey i just got my k800i branded vodafone but i dont know how to update it. my instruction manual is in german. any tips?
