Updated Google Analytics

There was a thread some time ago about what stats tool to use for their. Well Google have just updated their Analytics site and it's superb. They have really thought through everything possible.

So in addition to awstats, Google Analytics is THE best for sure.

Ga vs Statcounter

I am new to all of this.

I currently get stats from Statcounter for our webpage. I find the data to be good, but know nothing else! How does Statcounter compare to GA?

The basic Statcounter package is free. Is GA?

We are a adwords advertiser, does that make a difference?

Just did a google on GA vs Stacounter. Seems like a couple of guys seem to prefer Statcounter over GA.

Google analytics is free, same as all of googles other services...except their advertising of course. It's very good and requires that you put some code in all your web pages for statistics.

Well the "best" stats program was Urchin, it was imho way better than anything out there and Google bought them that evolved to GA.

I personally think it is great, I just wish you could run it server side so you can just run it on all sites you do with out having to incorperate it.
