Hey guys, I know when performing an RUU update all data is lost from phone, but I transfereed all my apps to sd card and when I connect to PC, I can see the space is still used. But it doesn't show on my menu or under apps in phone. Please help, would hate to re-download the 100's of apps. Tx

You will have to download them from the market again, just go into market, hit your settings key and choose my apps, from there manually install, moving an app to your SD card doesn't fully move it, a small part gets left behind so android can work with the app. This means just moving it won't actually back it up, it will only provide more space on internal memory. (This is if you moved in in the application drawer in settings)

Transferring to SD does not mean it is backed up on SD. You need a separate programme for backups. I swear by Titanium Backup, but it is for rooted devices. Also, not all apps like to be moved to SD - they tend to "break". So be very careful what you move to SD.

if you backed up the apk files you can just reinstall that, but it wont link it to the market so you wont be able to update them afaik.

guys this is what he did
Code:
>settings>manage apps>transfer to sd

which didn't backup his apps at all but merely moved portions of the apps from internal memory to the sd card.
