Hey Guys,

My name is Trevor "qu1k" and I have been hired by Incredible Connection believe it or not, to help them get into the gaming market. We have a number of ideas and plans to help this company actually reach the target market of gamers! As an avid gamer myself I refuse to let the company make any massive mistakes along the way!

Already we have started to get involved and while things are small now they will grow. The first of which is the IncredibleBlog, a way just to try and keep in touch with the target market and stay in touch with the guys.

For those of you who know FluffyCloud from UBS, and AGASA. I have just finished interviewing her and next week this time Robert "iNFy" Hart from BOTC will be in the hot seat.

Take a look and please feel free to leave comments

Get into the gaming market? Very easy. Sponsor prizes for LANs. Sponsor resources to large gaming communities.

What do you mean they want to get 'into the gaming market'? That's a little vague. Do they want to make games, sell games, sponsor LANs, sell gaming hardware? AFAIK IC is already into the gaming market to some degree. Do they want to be perceived as a hardcore gaming resource? Well that'll be an uphill battle given IC's present reputation, but I wish you the best.

Ok for a start I'd say the gaming section of IC needs improvement in the selection of games. Shovelware, 10 year old bargain bin titles, Mah-jong Xtreme etc doesn't cut it. You need to have firstly of course the top selling titles by platform, but then also a respectable list of niche, classic games that real gamers tend to hunt out. If you had a reputation of being the go-to place to find obscure titles, it would help your credibility a lot. Even if you just had some kind of catalog ordering system.

He has been doing that :) Both MPLD June and COD4 BOTCv3 have been/were sponsored by Incredible Connection. Incred and Qu1k are doing more for the gaming community then you think :>

I have 0 idea how much he is doing, so what I think doesnt matter, but great stuff to hear he is putting in some work for the gaming community.

Haha thanks for the responses, as matty said, I am in charge of righting alot of wrongs. I am not allowed to reveal plans just yet. But Cerebrus pretty much summed it up.

We will be reworked our gaming department, our website as well as actually participating in the large established LAN parties and hoping to grow new ones. As I said I cannot reveal any plans just yet, at least not until the dotted line has been signed ;)

Just another small update!

I have sat down with iGame's big boss Xerowing! Read the interview here

Also at some point today I will announce the prize pool for the upcoming MSSA National LAN Championships!

At this rate, if continuous and steady growth can be achieved , we should see a industry which is on par with many European Online communities in the future

LOL, rephrase please. Future? YEs, in 30 years :D

Edit: Look at this http://www.esl.eu
Now look at this http://league.agasa.co.za/

No comment. :D

It would be great though to setup a similiar site up for agasa. When I stayed in europe and wanted a clanie, all we did was connected to the site, placed our selfs on ready and waited 2min, boom, found an opponent.

blogbytes, I have personally played in the ESL as well as CB for COD4.

I know all about how the leagues are run and work there. What most forumites seem to forget is the fact that things take time, there is not some magic switch that gets flipped and then tomorrow its all ESL and UKeSA. But given a few months and then years thing's progress.

Give it some time and you will see.

Hi qu1k_sh0t, I am SilencE, better known on IRC as miNt-SilencE, the manager of www.mintgaming.co.za #mint (irc.shadowfire.org).

I've been following your posts/work for quite a while and I have to add that I am excited to see this partnership (MSSA/IC specifically) grow and I believe that this is a step towards a better gaming environment and community in South Africa.

I wish to, at a point, be able to sit and discuss the importance of marketing your work and ideas (as well as the MSSA/IC partnership) to the gaming community as well as the less informed casual gamers who might be a potential area to expand into.

Please PM me at any time!

I would just like to say that the PS3ZA community loves to go to IC for your PS3 game specials so keep it up :)

AND PLEASE FIX THAT SITE!!! It is g-d awful!
