Updating BitDefender definitions from local disk

Any idea on how to install definitions from local drive ... I have bitdefender 8.. There's no option under settings fro this

You normally download the cumulative.zip file from their website and either copy or extract to correct location. But version 10 is out now you might have to download the new version.

Version 10 is not free ...

Then why not try Avast or AVG, both free?
