I've got a BB9790 and a playbook that I will still be using, but I want to get an android as well, either a tablet (for the wife) or a phone.

I considered the iphone 4 deal for R199 but was advised against it cos the phone is old tech now and android is better than OS (advice from a former apple fanbooi).

I don't wanna spend more than R300pm and I am on Vodacom. I am deciding between the xperia V (R299) and the S4 mini (R299). What other options do you all suggest ? Anyone using the Huawei Ascend P6 and your review/experience ? I will prefer a Samsung or Sony.

P6 has a Quad-Core and some of the same internals from what I saw

Check Ockie's thread on the P6. Been seriously looking at this aswell but the headphone slot placement is annoying me. Xperia V wise great buy but 2012 phone, S4 mini is the better buy between the two imo.

The Xperia V seems like a good alternative to the S4 mini, it seems as if everyone is taking the S4 mini for the name, the V has a better quality screen and the camera is much better (13mp vs 8mp).

I'm still in month 21, won't be hasty, maybe a good deal will come up in the next 2 months.
