Yes it's definitely worth it.

Kitkat (4.4) is excellent.

There should be an update option under your phones settings.

Not this phone haha, it says there are no system updates available, hence my thread as that was the first thing I tried. :)

Only way too upgrade would be a custom rom, you will definitely see a benefit of an upgrade, kitkat was far more streamlined and designed specifically with smaller, older devices in mind. Like I have an old wildfire s, useless phone really, like 150mb storage, but cuz kitkat is so well optimized, it can take it, where as it cannot take jellybean.

Guide me you gorgeous human!! How do I do that.

You serarch XDA in the hopes someone out there own a Gobii and was both bored and smart enough to grab the KK source from google, rip out all the drivers and manu specs from the Gobii and compile a working version of the OS and then posted it online for others to use.

Show kitkat for.samsumg and kitkat for gobii is not the same thing?

Not in the slightest, its like trying to install a card engine into a motor bike, quite literally not compatible. You cold not even use an Android Operating system for the Note 8 5100 on the note 8 5110, different drivers, different hardware. Those 2 devices are only slightly different, one is 3G the other is LTE. Even with such a minor difference, its enough that if you managed to install teh wrong OS (which is not possible) you would turn and R8000 tablet into a remarkably expensive paperweight.

Fck that sounds terrible!!

All I know of this phone is it is mediatek someting.

If there is any smart guy on here please make a newer OS available I searched XDA forum, there is nothing apart from one thread asking precisely this, but no response.

Unless Gobii themselves do it I highly doubt anyone else will, too much work for such a small group of users.
