Upgrade 'connection fee'. Really?

Just had a call from Vodacom re my upgrade. They want to charge me R1xx for connection fee. I am already connected, why must I pay a fee to get an upgrade?

Do your upgrade via Vodacom Online, the waive the fee and deliver for free the next day. Having said that, you have to watch your account because the charged me R97 which I got reversed.

Thanks will check that. Do they state that they there is no fee?

Also, the IPhone 120 package that I am on now, is no longer. What other package can you suggest?

Yep, it's at the bottom of the pages for the deals on Vodacom.co.za.

I scored on a deal for a Curve 9320 and paid R10 less per month compared to the booklet special and didn't have to deal with SIM and connection fees.

And it was damn good service considering that the consultant I spoke with phoned me back on a Sunday morning!

As Wesley said, they also told me that if the phone breaks they will send a courier to fetch, fix and deliver back - this remains to be proven in a real case.
