I've been a customer of CISP ever since they started in my hood, and am still using the default TP-Link router (model TL-WR840N v2). As I have just upgraded my line to 100/100 (which - apparently - will be doubled soon), I need a router that support 802.11ac (on 5Ghz) - unfortunately, I cannot run a ethernet cable from the router to my office. Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding selection? Maybe Cool Ideas desperately swap this one for a better one?

You can buy a faster one from us couriered to you - R999 email [email protected]

Do you have either the C7 or the C8 available as well? If so, at what price?

Unfortunately not, we only stock the C20 and C5 by default.

@PBCool , unfortunately both of these are old models (the C5 doesn't even show up on their website anymore). I don't mind paying for a decent router but I don't like investing into old tech. Any idea where I can find a newer TP-Link router - C8 or C9 - and what I need to watch out for when I shop for one?

They are current models.

We get the stock from suppliers every other week.

@PBCool, any chance you can check with your suppliers if that they can supply a C8 or above?

Suppliers are closed, only options are what we managed to secure prior which are the C20s and C5. Apologies.

Will need to wait till after lockdown, or find someone who can courier
