We want to replace the M.2 240gb with 512GB SSD

Where can we get the HDD Cable from ?

Your question doesn't really make sense.

If you want to replace the 240GB with 512GB then replace the 512GB, you dont need any special HDD cable ?\

Pop out that m.2 and replace it with the 512GB.

Regarding the HDD Cable in question, seems you can get that on pricecheck.


Looks like its not easy to find this part in SA, ebay and amazon have listings for it.

Yeah, idea was to replace it with cheaper SSD so one was order, only today I saw it needs that stupid cable.

Keep in mind that the point of that cable is to use it with external storage.

I noticed all the hdd cable packages for this comes with external storage bay so an SSD would not even fit inside this specific model of dell.

When you factor in the adaptor it will probably cost you more.

You could order a m.2 from amazon/newegg for cheaper, hell you could spend a wee bit more and get 1TB
