Does this apply on the openserve network for a new month to month client?

EDIT: I'm asking from a point of view of signing up for a 50/50 service but then finding out it's not enough and then upgrading after a month to 100/100... or vice versa

You can upgrade and downgrade at your leisure. You only pay for the package you are on. You don't pay for changing.

If you upgrade it will complete in a day or 2 and you will be charged pro rata for the balance between the two packages for the remainder of the month.

If you downgrade it happens on the 1st of the following month provided you change before the 25th, I think, else it will happen the following month.

Some ISPs use package charges as a way to restart a contract or they charge an admin/activation fee for the "new" service.

Luckily Afrihost dies not do this.
