Ordered yesterday, upgrade completed at 10am this morning. I'm speechless!

Getting 115KB/sec on HTTP. Not bad at all.

Dude that was so quick, took them a month exactly to upgrade me, you must be special. ;-)

Regards
Doc

LOL they did my line yesterday as well. Ordered it Friday. Wasn't expecting it to be done before today. Got home and wondered why my download was suddenly finished already. 400 MB / hour. OMG I'm happy as a pig in sh_t :D

Sounds Lekker! :D
So you will be exceeding your 3 Gb Cap in exactly 7.5Hours.

When my 30 GIG cap runs out in about another 10 hours I guess I'll get another 30 GIGs :D

Yikes and it's only the 6th :o

A possible reason for the upgrade going so fast is that they don't have to send a damn techie out to do anything to the line. They just change the line speed on a computer at central and you're done. The only reason for it to take longer than a day is that their admin suck just as bad as anything else from Telkom or that they have better things (not really) to do than click a couple of buttons on the computer. Telkom's full of empty promises. That's the rule they live/do business by...

When I first enquired about the upgrade they said it will take 12 to 24 hours. When I ordered it they said it would take 4 days. It was done in 2.

Hmm, Seems like the new pricing is not even implemented yet and Telkom is already seeing the benefit of migration to the faster packages!
Anyone want to put a timeline on when 300,000 dsl users is reached?

Very lucky, took them 1 day to install my 384 including Telkom line but took the 5 weeks to upgrade me to 1mbit.

3 - 4 months

Its still pathetic to think we only have a 1mb line as our top line.
1mb line is ur bottom of the range line in most overseas countries.

These guys with the fast connections! I have just one question for you. Where do you buy the gigs! One guy is speaking of 30 gigs at a time. I have a 512kps connection and would love to upgrade but I see it as a useless exercise. Please advice!
