Upgrade from a 6Mbps to 8Mbps possible

Hi

So after I had line issues and problems with my 4Mbps line during the fix Telkom Upgraded my line to 6Mbps. The speeds I get on speeed test are:

My question is, is it worth calling them up to see if I can for instance be bumped up to 8? I'm asking because right now its not getting full line speed at 6 (as far as I understand), so will bumping it to 8make any difference.

First log in on your ADSL modem's web interface and then post your statistics here.

The important ones are the SNR margins. If either one of your SNR margins are below 10dB, then I won't recommend increasing your speed.
Try and post your line attenuation, SNR margins and line speed values here.

Your SNR margins are great for 6Mbps, but your downstream SNR margin might not be good enough to maintain a stable connection when you have it running at 8Mbps.
If you're not playing games where people would care if you drop, then it is probably worth it to test 8Mbps.

what would you rate is good for running a 10meg line Pada?

mine on a 6meg line:

Line Attenuation 27.9 db 14.6 db
Noise Margin 19.5 db 18.5 db
