Upgrade from Windows 7 to 8 Commercial query?

Hi,

I have a genuine version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. I ugraded to Windows 8 RP and I like Windows 8. I Heard that Microsoft offers upgrade from Windows 7 to 8 at $15 USD.

Will this upgrade work for me? I bought my laptop in 2010, and how will it work?
