Upgrade S5 to Nougat

Has any forum member here got a idiot proof way of upgrading my S5 operating system 4.2.2 to Nougat. Is it even possible?
Looked on google..but nothing really helps.

The best you are going to get is 6.0.1 marshmallow.

Basically it is just a matter of downloading the right firmware from Sammobile and flashing it to your phone with ODIN.

Not Nougat though, but Marshmallow (6.0.1)is not bad.


It's the Galaxy S7 edge firmware for an S5 (SM-G900F). Plus whole lotta extras.

I've flashed mine. Works like a charm.
Phone now identify itself as SM-G935F

Interesting... Still have my old S5 floating around at home. Will have to try this some time. Maybe get some more life out of the old workhorse.

On the g900h I know the fingerprint never worked so well

I'm not sure how development on that went but you can get cynogenmod 14 (CM14)

But remember that the g900h and g900f are very different if u flash a g900f rom on a g900h you will brick the device
