I am looking for a new CPU for about R1000 and a motherboard for about the same price. What can you peaple recomend?

I'd go for a Foxconn G31 mobo at about R550 and spend an extra R500 on the CPU (E7xxx) or elsewhere on the PC.

Ye my Foxconn micro atx 939 board is still going strong with a 3200+ OC'd to 2,6GHz..

Actually beats the Gigabyte with lower idle power consumption by about 5W, and only 1W more on load...
