Upgrading ADSL in a congested area

Hey myBB,

As some of you know, the Rondebosch exchange is really congested and I'm assuming its not going to get better any time soon. I'm currently on a 1024 line 3 month trial with Telkom and when I do a speedtest.net test the downloads jump... Very strange...

I'd like to upgrade to a faster line but I'm not sure if, being on a congested exchange, will help??

Why not go with 8ta or CellC? My telephone line has been getting more and more noisy for about 5 years, so I changed to a CellC 10gb service. Not fabulous but it always works and gives me 2-3mb/sec. If Telkom could fix it I would stay with ADSL, but all I get are promises and excuses

Well I've had the 5GB x 12 months deal and it has been less than impressive. The 5 gigs doest last me and gaming is OK sometimes but more frustrating than good. I just want to see if there's any way around a congested exchange or am i pretty much stuck with the slow speeds...
