Upgrading from 384 to 512

Hi Guys/Gals

I just would like to know how long does it usually take Telkom to upgrade you from the 384 to 512 connection.
Is it a software setting somewhere on a Telkom router or do they have to re-connect my line to a faster DSLAM port?

Software setting..should take < 24 hours. But it is Telkom.....so it could take months.
