Does upgrading a laptops RAM and SSD void the warranty in SA?

According to Lenovo's forums it does not, but according to https://www.shoplenovo.co.za/ it does
These sales people can really bs us

The want to charge R2200 more than the going rate for the same laptop a

Lenovo L340 Ryzen 3, 8GB RAM, 256SSD for R10400...ridiculous

I can buy the laptop of takeolot for R6600 and do the RAM for R500 and SSD for R1099 total of 8199

Why should I pay R2200 more

Normally you can get to memory without them seeing you opened laptop, if something do go wrong remove extra ram.

Thanks. I will have to take my chances. Although I see Takealot only has a 6 month warranty and Evetech is know for bad service and no after sales support. So now I don't know where to buy it at a decent price
