I am due for an upgrade on my Cell C contract and I noticed on their website that I can get the Samsung Galaxy i9000 S on Casualchat 100, which is a cheaqper contract that I have now. SoI phoned Cell C and lo and behold, if I want that handset, I have to go to the R429 / month Activechat 220. Wen I confronted them about this the answer was just eish.... So looks like I will wait until my contract expires and then port to one of the other networks that can give me a nice phone without ripping me a new @rsehole.

i took the sgs2 on active chat 100 and mine went thru without a hitch i think that is 1 mis-informed agent u spoke to call the shop rather

You are correct.

I just phoned CellC in TygerValley & they said the Samsung Galaxy S2 is free on ActiveChat 100 @ R280 per month.

If you want to add extra stuff... R28 for 80 smses and R150 for 500MB data.

So....for R458 a month you get the complete package.

stuff that i'm trying to convince them to allow me to transfer data bundle from my other line over or to put the contract onto my existing data bundle
and if u topup then u get 10mb for every rand so i'll rather topup to get my data package cause then i get airtime as well
well thats my theory lol

Maybe it's because the deals are only for new contracts, not upgrades? Vodacom pulls the same stunt on their really good deals - never valid for upgrades

Nope spoke to them its for upgrades and new the agents are just mis-informed
