Hi All

Current stats:

Mobo: Asus Commando RoG Board
RAM: 2GB Corsair DDR2 800
CPU: Intel E6600 Core 2 Duo
GPU: Asus 8800 GTS
PSU: Enermax Galaxy Power Supply - 1000 Watt

My budget is R7000 and I'm basically looking for the best bang for my buck so to speak with the upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

I think rather go 4870/4890 for the GPU, shop around because the prices are really low right now

Those are my current stats, I want to upgrade from them :P

Lol, my bad never read your post prperly, either way try get a 4890

Figured as much, was wondering what I could get in terms of mobo, cpu and ram.

why not leave cpu mobo etc for now, double your ram and chuck in a new gfx card...should run everything like a new beast me thinks...well thats what i would do, ur system isnt that far behind. oh and just oc the cpu, my e6600 is @ 3.6...great lil cpus :D

Just my 2c, personally I'd add another 2GB of DDR2 800 (+/-R300), and source a second hand Q6600/Q6700/Q6850 (R1k/+), add a Hyper 212 Plus (R320), overclock to 3.6GHz or +. Then add a 4890/5850 (R2100/R3k+).
Sub: R3720+
Your pc would then cut through everything like butter and cost you a fraction of a new system.
