Upington Fibre?

Anyone got any idea of any fibre availability in Upington? I heard a rumor that Vodacom is rolling out fibre there.

Called a local Computer shop Compufin, stated that they do Fibre installations and the ISP is Vodacom.

Do they do the installation everywhere in Upington?

We are only stuck with a 4MB Line with telkom.

If you go to the cool ideas site and look at the vodacom coverage map there is no fibre for upington.

The Cool Ideas map is not accurate. It shows no fibre for my parents house in Richards Bay but Vodacom fibre is already live and Frogfoot going live 10 December.

That said yes I do not see any coverage in Upington.

To bad, Telkom didn’t do anything to upgrade our current line which is only 4MB. 80m from our house down the road has 40 VDSL available.
