Hi all
I would like to know how to get my or any other ADSL / SDSL line speeds turned around. What im trying to sketch here is, how abouts getting a decent 4mbps upload speed on your connection ?
Lets take for example a 4mbps line. Download speeds are 4096kbps and upload between 384kbps and 256kbps.
Is it possible to switch'em around and get 256 to 384 download on it, and 4096kbps upload on it ?
Then, another question comes to mind. How the hell does the ISP's do it ? Hetzner, UUNET, IS, etc... How can I plug my Cat5e cable into the backbone of telkom ? 100mbps line...
Lets say my local munsipality will be a ISP, and supplying bandwidth to the masses. How can i get their servers to be on the backbone of telkom's infrastructure and supply bandwidth. For every 10 people thats on 4mbps adsl, you need a 40mbps line, and 3840 upload ? how the hell ?
Anyone have any prices and know-how please tell me
Regards,
Aqox
