So I am honestly at wit's end with random power issues, outside of loadshedding it seems there are some on-going problems here in Durban. Decided to finally look into some solutions to make life a little less miserable.

Problem 1 - A device to keep my Fibre Box, Switch and then Router online. I was told a UPS 850VA (Like this). I am looking to keep this on for at least 2-3 hours since that's how long most of these outages are out for 6 hours would be great, but the price jumps I assume?

Problem 2 - This is where I get a little more lost due to calculators and such. I need something to run my 25" Monitor, 750W PSU PC (Runs normally at around 450W Load) and the network switch I have in this room. Looking for something to power this for around an hour or so.

I haven't been able to find a calculator that really helps work out wattage for PC's and network gear into VA or Wattage loads for a UPS. So any help will be appreciated.

If all your gadgets run on 12v then rather get something that doesn't invert - they're more efficient. Just check the combined amps required for all 3.
Something like this:
Just add 12v gate motor battery

I will have a look, I don't trust my self enough for that but I guess I can learn easily. Would probably save a few bucks for the router and network side of things. I just hope this one box is 12v.

6 Years back I bought a modified sinewave inverter (12v system) and 2x 105Ah batteries, and all this load shedding nonsense isn’t having any effect on me, I power all electronics from it, and have no downtime.

I started of by measuring each device, and then added everything. I switched everything off and monitored the complete load while switching it on. I monitored everything over a month and came to the total I need. My setup keeps everything running for 6hours.

I got myself few of the LED light bulbs that have batteries in, and if I need light, I have in every room.

(Explora, TV, Soundbar, Sub/w, Apple TV, PBX, Yealink BaseStation, Efergy Hub, ONT, Router with WiFi, Switch, NAS, pfSense, LTE Router and 2x electric recliners.)
