UPS / Power Problem

I have the following two UPS units:

1 x Generic 650VA
1 x Mecer 1400VA

Problem: Both units are going into backup power mode without the office power actually failing. Everything was 100% fine until the beginning of December 2007 when this started happening.

Any ideas what might cause these false alarms and how this is to be solved?

I have had a municipal electrician follow the power lines back to the station and he says everything is fine on their side.

Any ideas pls?

Try to read the mains voltage , should be around 220 - 240 V ( ask the electrician) it may be that the voltage drop to just below the UPS threshold of around 200V most stuff should work but the UPS mite not like it
