So my Tescom 1000kv RIPed on xmas along with my psu and surge plug. I'm looking for a pure sine wave 900/800 watt and so far I've got:

Mecer 1000VA On-Line Tower UPS (ME-1000-WPTU)

RCT Winner Pro 1KVA Online Tower UPS

FSP Champ 1000VA 900W 2x Type-M UPS - Black

Not very appealing but I guess it is chicken or beef.

I did go with the Mecer ME-1000-WPTU, but it is so ****ing loud its just not funny. I'm not sure why they went with fans always running when the tescom that blew only turns on its fans when it is charging. So now I'm running it inside a cupboard with minimal ventilation (cracked open door).

About 1 to 2 months later my "silent" fans arrived from the USA. Sadly we didn't have any proper fans locally which was 70mm and could be setup in parallel. I Just finished the case mod, by removing the original fan and adding the new fans. However, seeing that the fans are always on the gain just isn't enough to place the ups under my table. Now it is back into the cupboard.

At least it is running cooler with the two fans vs the single fan. lol?

This was my last UPS (for pc) and will be replaced by an inverter + battery and/or solar.
