We have quite a few pc's at work that we want to put on UPS's in case of a power failure. The building has a backup generator which is up and running in about a minute or so. How can I calculate how many pc's can I run off a single UPS? say for instance this Mecer one: https://shop.mecer.co.za/accessories/power-management/ups/on-line-ups/me-2000-wptu-1189.html

It will only be the pc's plugged into the UPS, the screen can come on with the generator. Also how can I determine how long the UPS will remain on before switching off?

If you're planning to get a UPS that will be able to run your PCs for longer than it takes to do a proper shutdown, then you need to get something from PowerMan, or similar.

Expect to pay 5-figure amounts for one.

It will only be until the generator kicks in which should be under a minute.

Get one of those smart plugs that measures wattage and check how many watts each pc uses and then you can start doing runtime calculations based on load.
