Upskill on Mikrotik

Howzit guys

I have been working with Mikrotik for quite a while now. Started off on the wireless, then got into the networking side as I was at an ISP. I have done the MTCNA and MTCRE courses, but I feel I need to and want to know more.

I am currently using it for normal ADSL/LTE connections at clients. I have setup a LTE/3G failover solution with VPN and notification of ADSL line going down
IPSEC with dynamic dns
very basic site blocking
Port forwarding

So I am not using my courses nearly to their full potential.

I want to learn the whole traffic flow packet marking story along with traffic shaping and a few other skills.

If someone is willing to help educate me please. I find it difficult to learn without explanation on why certain thigns are used.

Join the mikrotik forums, also use gns3

I dont seem to get much from those forums. I have found some help from them, not much though.

Hmm, I have heard about this gns3 thing, need to try it out.

I have done the MTCNA and MTCRE. However my environments have not provided me a chance to use them. I am starting to work with clients that need traffic shaping, packet marking, QoS etc.
