Looking to maybe bring in a container of UPS units 500VA but need to know what kind of price these would go for if people could give me some input

Would be something similar to that perhaps not exact model but similar - what would something like that fetch, what is its value to the consumer.

If this is viewed as RAS please remove - im not trying to sell forumites anything but rather find out the value of a product that I would perhaps like to sell.

Thanks
J

500 Watt is basically useless. Most setups today are already using minimum 500 watt power supplies..I would look at 1000 Watt jobs as an entry here..

The next hurdle is to sell them at the R700 to R800 mark. The big boys such as Corex have them at R1000 but Matrix are R800 ,all for 1000W jobs.
Good luck .

Ok spoke to my brother who would be sourcing these units in Shanghai and thats doable - I just need to find import laws wrt batteries - how easy is it to sell a ups - with eskom i'd presume easy enough.

How big is the demand for UPS units in ZA atm - I know it was huge a few months back - but now - if I was to bring in 1000 units of either 1000VA or 500 VA at a very reasonable price how hard would it be to move, probably around R300 for 500VA and maybe R600-700 for 1000VA. (not sure on that though but its looking close to those figures - just need to see on import duties)

Forget about online selling, cause the shipping weight of those babies will eat into your profit. I've bought a 600VA recently for (iirc) ~R380 and thats from a brick store.
