My 4MB line syncs at 4096 downstream, but only 256 upstream, my impression is that it should sync at up to 512 upstream according to Telkom's website (http://www.telkom.co.za/sites/athom...netandbroadband/adsl/&productname=Faster ADSL).

These are the connection figures from my router:
Downstream speed 4096 kbps
Downstream SNR 25.5 dB
Upstream SNR 27.3 dB
Max downstream speed 10240 kbps
Downstream attenuation 40 dB
Upstream attenuation 20.5 dB

According to http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/186156-Understanding-SNR-and-Attenuation-Rates I've got good SNR and attenuation figures, do they also apply to the upstream? Should I not be able to get 512 upstream with the figures above?

I've already tried two port resets (line is managed by WA), but it stayed the same.

The noise on your line is ridiculously high.
