As to my knowledge (which I will admit is not perfect), the phone should be locked on AT&T, why not email the supplier and ask them if the phone is network locked?
We had an issue where a tourist bought a starter pack and did not work in his phone because his phone was locked, rather safe than sorry!

Judging from what I've come across with USA based phones - if it doesn't say unlocked, I think it's not
Is there perhaps a link to the ad? Or is it a private sale or a friend that can get it for you.
My understanding is, that if they're networked locked, they usually are.
But you never know if some Nigerian cell shop could sort it out

Its from wantitall. But it doesnt say unlocked

USA uses CDMA infrastructure (like Neotel) more than conventional ones. My Dad brought back a Nokia from the States and it is just a paper-weight here. Their also sim-less so no unlocking.
agreed had 2 paperweights here so we sent them back with our daughter when she came to visit last year.
Thank you S&B!! Yes, I went to that link, but each phone has a unique code, and how do I get that unique code? I cant call at&t and tell them i want it unlocked lol. Is there any other ways? Please, urgent, cos the price is going up and up on wantitall.

This vid basically says is can be unlocked, but you'll need the device (handset) number from AT&T.
Looking at the WIA ad, that phone seems heavily branded.
So I find it weird that WIA would advertise the bugger - sweet phone though and damn good price.
Perhaps contact Justin, the MD of WIA and ask him about it at: [email protected]
